Architecture of Hope

Architecture of Hope is een creatie van de Nederlandse choreograaf Wubkje Kuindersma op muziek van de Italiaanse componist Ezio Bosso en vormt de bijdrage van Het Nationale Ballet aan Uitmarkt 2021. Het ballet heeft – hoe toepasselijk in deze tijd – het gevoel van hoop als uitgangspunt en is een buitengewoon uitdagend werk. De choreografie is uiterst fysiek, kent een prachtige gelaagdheid en spanning en telt een aantal sterke en veeleisende duetten.

“Highlight of the evening”

Architecture of Hope is een coproductie van Het Nationale Ballet en het West Australian Ballet en ging in februari 2020 in première in het Australische Perth. Bij de première werd het werk juichend ontvangen, met lovende recensies als “The audience was truly drawn into the mesmerising dancers’ journey throughout this work” en “Rich in intensity, style and perfectly executed moves, this was far and away the highlight of the evening”.
