Sam Carl

Bas-bariton Sam Carl maakte van 2019 tot 2021 onderdeel uit van De Nationale Opera Studio en zong sindsdien rollen als Colline in La bohème (Staatstheater Darmstadt) Nick Shadow in The Rake’s Progress en Leporello in Don Giovanni (Glyndebourne Festival), de titelrol in Massenets Don Quichotte (Bregenzer Festspiele), Panthée in Les Troyens (Bayerische Staatsoper München), Mephistopheles, Evil Spirit en Pater Profundus in Schumanns Szenen aus Goethes Faust bij (Opera Vlaanderen) en Stárek in Jenůfa (Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia). Bij De Nationale Opera keerde hij eerder terug als Der Holzhacker in Königskinder en in Ändere die Welt. 

In mei 2024 is hij te zien in Il trittico als Talpa (Il tabarro) en Betto di Signa (Gianni Schicchi).
