The Young Patrons Circle is a special group of young supporters of Dutch National Opera & Ballet. It offers its members exclusive looks behind the scenes in order to bring them closer to the arts.
By joining the Young Patrons Circle, you can help shape the direction and future of Dutch National Opera & Ballet. You don’t need to be musically talented or light on your feet; all you need is a love for opera and ballet, and a sense of philanthropic commitment.
The Dutch National Opera Studio, started in 2018, is a young artists program in The Netherlands, which offers six young singers extensive musical, language and vocal coaching with experienced music staff, leading international voice teachers and conductors. The artists will participate in both main stage productions, as well as Studio productions, in which they work with some of the finest directors of our generation.
The Junior Company was established in 2013 to be a stepping stone for young dancers to make the leap from the Dutch National Ballet Academy to Dutch National Ballet. By now, dancers from all over the world apply and each year only a few are selected. They are given a daily program that mirrors that of the main company and will also be called upon to take the stage at large, main productions of Dutch National Ballet.
International Weekend to Vienna
This year, The Young Patrons Circle will be traveling to the city of Beethoven, schnitzel and opera. From May 3rd until May 5th, we have curated a special program in Vienna! Highlights of the weekend include a get-together at the Royal Dutch Embassy, a stop at the world famous Belvedere Museum and a visit to the Wiener Staatsoper, where we will attend Pierre Audi’s Rigoletto.
