Taiwan-born, New Zealand-raised pianist Amy Chang is an alumna of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Master of Music in Repetiteurship) and the University of Auckland (Master of Music (First Class Honours) in Vocal Accompaniment). Whilst based in the United Kingdom, Amy was a Britten-Pears Young Artist, and was a repetiteur for If Opera (La Rondine, Rita, Il Segreto di Susanna, Dido and Aeneas), Byre Opera (Pelléas et Mélisande), British Youth Opera (L’Occasione fa il ladro), and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Flight, Hänsel und Gretel, Giulio Cesare, Dialogues des Carmélites, Die Dreigroschenoper).

Amy is delighted to continue her second season as part of the Dutch National Opera Studio: “In season 2022/2023 I have immensely enjoyed working on Der Rosenkavalier and Rusalka, as well as performing in a variety of concerts, recitals, and masterclasses. My experience at Dutch National Opera so far has exceeded all my expectations, and I am looking forward to continuing my musical development with Die Zauberflöte and La traviata.”
