Nikolai Zemlianskikh

Bass-baritone

The young Russian bass-baritone Nikolai Zemlianskikh was born in Volgograd and studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg. From 2019 he was a member of the Young Artists Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. He also won prizes at various singing competitions in Russia and abroad. He recently made his debut in various opera houses. He sang the role of Marcello in La bohème at the Bayerische Staatsoper and the title role in Eugene Onegin at the Theater Magdeburg in Palermo. He also sang with Wexford Festival Opera and with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker.

In Roberto Devereux (2024), he sings the role of Duca di Nottingham.
