Esther Kuiper

The Dutch mezzo-soprano Esther Kuiper studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She sung multiple roles in the NTR Zaterdagmatinee, including Waltraute in Die Walküre, Pastorkyña and Barena in Jenufa and Zulma in L’italiana in Algeri. She also performed the roles of Mrs. Segstrom in Sondheim's A Little Night Music (Nederlandse Reisopera) en Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte (La Monnaie Brussels). She sung as a soloist with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra and worked with conductors like Jaap van Zweden, Markus Stenz and Carlo Rizzi. At Dutch National Opera she previously performed the role of La Contessa di Ceprano in Rigoletto (2017).
