Roger Vignoles

Roger Vignoles studied at Magdalene College, Cambridge, following which he was appointed rehearsal director at ROH Covent Garden. He studied piano accompaniment with Paul Hamburger. The British pianist has worked with soloists like Elisabeth Söderström, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sir Thomas Allen, Bernarda Fink, Thomas Hampson, Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, Mark Padmore, John Mark Ainsley, Roderick Williams and Kate Royal. He has guested with the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Wiener Musikverein, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, La Scala, Oper Frankfurt, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Festspiele Baden-Baden. Roger Vignoles was responsible for various concert series at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Wigmore Hall in London. He also gives masterclasses all over the world and teaches at the Royal College of Music in London, the University of Indiana, the Britten-Pears Young Artists’ Programme and the Stimmen Festival Freistadt.
