Maze de Boer was trained at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and the Rijksacademie van beeldende kunsten. As multidisciplinary artist, he works with sculpture, installation, painting, film/ video, photography and music/sound. His work is exhibited in various places in the world, from Colombia to Indonesia. As a scenographer, he worked on productions for Het Nationale Theater, Toneelgroep Oostpool, Schauspielhaus Bochum, International Theatre, Amsterdam (ITA), Toneelgroep Suburbia, Theatre Artemis, Beijing Music Festival & The Red Theater and Schauspiel Dortmund.
