Hup Herman!
Herman the pot-bellied pig does not like competitions. He thinks it is just a lot of fuss. The chickens, on the other hand, squawk every morning about who is the first, the best, the fastest. One day Herman thinks: I will show them who is the fastest here. All the animals encouraged him. Hup Herman! Hup Herman! But is it really that important, winning or losing?

For the little ones
On the weekend of 9 and 10 April, during the Kindermuziekweek 2022, Dutch National Opera will be presenting four musical reading moments for toddlers (2+), based on the book Hup Herman! by Yvonne Jagtenberg.
Actor Harpert Michielsen and musician Joost Brouwer tell, play and sing the story for and with the children in the audience.
A festive read-aloud opera that stimulates the imagination of young and old!
