Doel, missie en bestaansreden

The purpose of the Foundation is:

1. The operation and maintenance of the theatre, located in Amsterdam, as a national centre for productions of international stature in the field of opera, ballet and related musical-dramatic art forms;

2. To provide a distinctive offering in the field of music-dramatic art at an internationally high quality level, particularly by providing large-scale opera productions;

3. The promotion of the art of dance in the Netherlands;

4. Reaching a large national audience. 

As well as everything connected with the above in the broadest sense or which may be conducive to it.

Renumeration policy

Remuneration policy for the Supervisory Board
The members of the Supervisory Board do not receive any remuneration for their work. They are, however, entitled to reimbursement of expenses reasonably incurred in the performance of their duties and a not excessive attendance fee.

Remuneration policy for the Board of Directors
The Supervisory Board determines the remuneration and other terms of employment for each individual director in accordance with the Dutch Top Income (Standards) Act.
 

Remuneration policy for staff members
The foundation's staff members are remunerated in accordance with the Dutch collective labour agreements for music theatre and dance.
