Assistant production and staging character dances

Grigori Tchitcherine was born in St Petersburg and studied ballet at the Vaganova Ballet Academy there. He began dancing in Kirov Ballet (now Mariinsky Ballet) performances when he was 11 years old, and in 1989 he was accepted into the company, where he spent the first five years of his professional career. Tchitcherine then joined Dutch National Ballet, where he danced from 1994 till 2005. During his dance career, he was appointed as a teacher of classical ballet and character dances at Amsterdam's Dutch National Ballet Academy. Tchitcherine continued to develop after leaving the dancing stage to pursue a university bachelor's degree at the Vaganova Ballet Academy, where he graduated as a teacher in 2008.

Meanwhile, Tchitcherine continues to teach at the Dutch National Ballet Academy and is in high demand as a guest teacher. Dutch National Ballet, the Youth America Grand Prix, the Académie Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo, the Ballett-Akademie der Hochschule für Musik und Theatre in Munich, the Tanz Akademie Zurich, and the Ballettschule Theatre Basel are among his many other clientele. He is also a frequent guest teacher at the Mariinsky Ballet and has been a guest teacher at the International Mariinsky Ballet Festiva for 14 years.
