Ordering tickets

You can order tickets in several ways:

Online

At the box office

The box office of Dutch National Opera & Ballet opens one hour before the start of a performance in the Main Stage or Studio Boekman. It is located just inside the theatre entrance.

Season packages

A season package (formerly subscriptions) offers many advantages. Follow the link below for a full explanation and an overview of all the benefits.

Single ticket sales

Tickets for the entire 2025 – 2026 season are now available.

Seating plan

Below you’ll find the seating plans for the Main Stage, showing the layout for our opera and ballet performances.

Wheelchair seating

Both the Main Stage and Studio Boekman have wheelchair spaces with room for an accompanying visitor. Tickets for wheelchair seating can only be ordered by phone (020 6255455).

Ticket exchange

You cannot return your tickets, and we do not refund money - except to people living abroad.

However, you have two options for exchanging your tickets. You can directly exchange or sell your purchase using our Ticket Exchange service. This service is provided at no cost. You can also exchange your purchase through the box office. This can only be done over the phone and up to one day before the performance unless the box office is closed that day. In that case, you can only exchange tickets at the box office up to two days before the performance. The box office will charge € 3,00 per ticket for this service, plus any possible extra cost. Please check in advance whether there are enough seats available in the same price category on the date of your choice. You can reach our box office by phone at (020) 6 255 455.

Gift card

With the Dutch National Opera & Ballet gift card you can enjoy all the beautiful things we have to offer. You can pay for your order with our gift card.

Dynamic pricing

For all performances at Dutch National Opera & Ballet we use a system of dynamic pricing. The closer to the premiere date, the greater the chance of a higher ticket price. Book early and save.

Tours

Tickets for performances at venues other than National Opera & Ballet can be purchased at the theatre where the performance will take place.

Discounts

To make our performances accessible to everyone, we offer special discounts for certain groups. Find out here if you’re eligible.

Sold out?

Even if the performance is sold out, you may still be able to attend! You can be added to the waiting list by contacting 020 625 54 55. Tickets are also often available through our online ticket exchange. Additionally, serial numbers are available at the Box Office beginning one hour before the performance. All uncollected tickets will be sold beginning half an hour before the start time, with a limit of two tickets per person, in order of attendance.
