Eric Cutler

Tenor

American tenor Erci Cutler attended Luther College in his home state of Iowa and was part of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artists Development Program. He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as First Prisoner in Fidelio, after which he sang roles such as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and Erik in Der fliegende Holländer. Recently he was a guest at the Semperoper Dresden as Der Kaiser in Die Frau ohne Schatten, the Bayerische Staatsoper as Erik in Der fliegende Holländer and Max in Der Freischütz, at the Wiener Staatsoper as Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos, at Opernhaus Zürich as Siegmund in Die Walküre and at Staatsoper Hamburg and the Osterfestspiele Salzburg as the title role in Lohengrin. He collaborated with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Francois-Xavier Roth and Ivor Bolton.
