Colombian tenor Camilo Delgado Díaz sings both classical and baroque repertoire. He earned his Masters in Cologne, graduating in 2021. In the final year of his studies, Díaz was the winning tenor in the Voci Olimpiche competition and was given the opportunity to sing Oronte in Alcina (Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza). Additional awards include Second Prize at the Aria Borealis Competition in Norway, under the direction of Lars Ulrik Mortensen and Emma Kirkby. Highlights include Esther with Apollo Ensemble, Orfeo under Werner Ehrhardt, Castor et Pollux at the Heidelberger Frühling, and multiple collaborations with Le Poème Harmonique in France and the German ensemble Seicento Vocale.
Camilo Delgado Díaz makes his DNO debut with the role of Jerónimo (Student 5) in Innocence, to be seen at Dutch National Opera from 7 to 22 October 2023.
