Julie Hega
Julie Hega is a French-Cameroonian actress, singer and writer, who studied at the Conservatory of Caen. Her theatre, opera and film highlights include Le Ciel, la Nuit et la Pierre glorieuse with Thomas Jolly (Festival d’Avignon), Sombre Rivière (Théâtre National de Strasbourg), La Chute de la Maison (Festival d’Automne), Desdemone in Othello (Théâtre de La Ville, Paris), soloist in my invisible soul at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence Festival, and The Color of Trees, a film directed by Marina Dumont-Anastassiadou. Recent work includes writing a novel, Quelqu’un n’est pas venu, and writing and directing her first film, Paysage de ma mort.
Julie Hega will make her DNO debut with the role of Iris (Student 3) in Innocence, which will be performed at Dutch National Opera from 7 to 22 October 2023.
