The Spanish lyric tenor Ismael Jordi studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Alfredo Kraus. He made his debut at the Teatro Villamarta in the role of Ernesto in Donizetti's Don Pasquale. Since then, he has sung at various European opera houses, including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Grand Teatre del Liceu Barcelona and Opéra national de Paris. His repertoire includes roles such as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Gennaro in Lucrezia Borgia, Riccardo Percy in Anna Bolena and Roberto in Roberto Devereux. Jordi has sung with Dutch National Opera before. He has performed the role of Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor and the title role in Roméo et Juliette. Last season, he sang in Donizetti Queens in Concert.
