Frederik Bergman

Bass-baritone

The Dutch bass-baritone Frederik Bergman graduated from the conservatory in Tilburg in 2012. He made his debut at DNO in 2018, singing Abraham in James MacMillan’s Clemency. In the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, he was a member of Dutch National Opera Studio, during which period he performed in Willem Jeths’ Ritratto and Rossini's Petite messe solennelle. As an alumnus of this talent development programme, he returned to sing various roles: Masetto in Don Giovanni (2021), Soldier in Salome (2022), Lord Rochefort in Anna Bolena (2022), Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas (2022), Zuniga in Carmen (2022), Pygmalion in Operetta Land (2022), Achilla in Giulio Cesare (2023), The Priest in Innocence (2023), Der Sprecher in Die Zauberflöte (2023) and the Messenger in Oedipus Rex (2024). 

Frederik Bergman will sing in May 2024 the role of Ser Amantio di Nicolao (Gianni Schicchi) in II trittico at Dutch National Opera.
