Yung-Tuan Ku

Taiwan-born, Netherlands-based Yung-Tuan Ku is a percussionist, sound collector, performer and theatre maker. She received her master's degree in classical percussion from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with honours in 2015. After graduating, she was invited to the artist in residency programme (2016-2018) at Studio MAPA Netherlands where she developed as a performer and theatre maker. In her creations she interweaves percussion with mime. Humour and imagination are the core elements of her work and she loves to surprise the audience with an unexpected twist. Yung-Tuan co-created and performed in theatre productions such as Geel (Mimewave), Stapel (Frisse Oren), Hans & Griet (Silbersee and Toneel Makerij) and Boom (Plan-D).
