Tobias Staab

Tobias Staab works as a freelance artist and curator. He is the artistic director of the International DANCE Festival in Munich. His artworks are typically interdisciplinary co-creations with others, bridging the gap between contemporary dance and digital art. He has worked with Richard Siegal, Julian Rosefeldt, Tom Schneider and Nadja Sofie Eller. Since 2020, Tobias Staab has focused increasingly on video art and machine learning. Later this season, he will direct the opera Matsukaze at the Bayerische Staatsoper together with the Dutch artist Lotte van den Berg.
