Tim Anderson

Conductor

Musical Director Tim Anderson is an Anglo-German conductor based in London. He studied conducting with Peter Stark, Michael Omer and at the Jorma Panula Academy in Helsinki, and participated in master classes with Bernard Haitink. After studying at New College, Oxford, Tim was invited by the late Gerard Mortier to join the Teatro Real Madrid in 2013. Since leaving Madrid he has worked regularly at Glyndebourne, ROH, Northern Ireland Opera and Nevill Holt Opera (as Associate Conductor), as well as Oper Stuttgart, the Bregenz Festival, Adelaide Festival, Garsington Opera, ENO, and with Vladimir Jurowski and the LPO. Anderson's extensive experience in contemporary opera recently includes conducting The Intelligence Park for Music Theatre Wales, Sciarrino's Il canto s'attrista, perche? at Stadttheater Klagenfurt and Denis & Katya at Opera Philadelphia, Music Theatre Wales and Opéra National de Montpellier, before coming to Dutch National Opera in March 2022.
