Tatiana Werestchagina
After studying music theory and music history at the Moscow State Conservatory, Tatiana Verestchagina has been active as a musicologist, translator, and dramaturg. Her research focuses on music theatre of the Baroque era, Richard Wagner and the long nineteenth century, and Igor Stravinsky. She has contributed to several publications, including The Rite of Spring at 100 (2017) and the Cambridge Stravinsky Encyclopedia (2021).
As a dramaturg, she has collaborated with Dmitri Tcherniakov on productions such as Der Ring des Nibelungen (Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin, 2022), Tristan und Isolde (Staatsoper Unter den Linden, 2018), Der fliegende Holländer (Bayreuth Festival, 2021), Elektra (Staatsoper Hamburg, 2021), Iphigénie en Aulide and Iphigénie en Tauride (Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, 2024), and Giulio Cesare (Salzburg Festival, 2025).
