What are the Giving Circles?

The Dutch National Opera's Giving Circles are like family. The donors who provide structural support to the opera unite in the Geefkringen with donations from € 1,000 per year. The unconditional support that Geefkring members offer our company in this way is priceless and irreplaceable. We therefore involve them with great pleasure and in a personal way as close as possible to our opera company and the productions. We open the doors to the world behind the scenes, arrange encounters with singers, musicians and artistic talent, and involve donors in the rehearsal process. In this way we fulfill the role of the Giving Circles in our house: as a co-producer of everything that is created by our company and to which they make an indispensable contribution. We look forward to welcoming you to our family!

Gifts from Giving Circle members are managed by the Dutch National Opera & Ballet Fund, the support foundation of Dutch National Opera & Ballet. An independent board ensures that the donations are properly spent on the designated causes and projects of Dutch National Opera.

Why they support Dutch National Opera

“At the opera you see the big world in a small space; major themes of life in a Gesamtkunst form. It is a privilege to be able to support this and to be involved in it.”
