Taiwanese tenor Ya-Chung Huang is part of the Deutsche Oper Berlin's ensemble. There, he has sung, among other roles, Mime in Das Rheingold and Siegfried, as well as David in a new production of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. This season, he makes his debut at the Theater an der Wien as the Schoolmaster in a new production of The Cunning Little Vixen, directed by Stefan Herheim, and sings the role of First Jew in Salome (Bayerische Staatsoper). Most recently, Ya-Chung performed the role of Bardolfo in Falstaff for his debut at the Staatsoper Hamburg. Other recent performances include debuts at the Komische Oper Berlin in The Nose and the Landestheater Niederbayern (Loge in Das Rheingold). Ya-Chung makes his DNO debut in 2022 with Turandot.
