Ya-Chung Huang

Tenor

The Taiwanese tenor Ya-Chung Huang started his career at Deutsche Oper Berlin, where he was a member of the ensemble from 2018 to 2024. He has also sung roles at prestigious opera houses and festivals such as the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Theater an der Wien, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Royal Opera in London, Norwegian National Opera and the Bayreuth Festival. His repertoire includes roles as Mime in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Arbace in Idomeneo, Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte, Pong in Turandot, Goro in Madama Butterfly, the Schoolmaster in The Cunning Little Vixen and Jaquino in Fidelio. At Dutch National Opera, he previously sang the role of Pang in Turandot (2022).
