Soprano Thembinkosi Magagula graduated from the Maastricht Conservatory of Music. She also participated in numerous vocal master classes by Barbara Hill-Moore, Erica Eloff, Kobie van Rensburg, Klesie Kelly-Moog, Mya, Kamal Khan, Roberta Alexander and Dunja Vejzovic, amongst others. As a soloist, she performed in the Aardklop production of the Fauré and Mozart Requiem and participated in the Monaco production of Poulenc's Les mamelles de Tirésias. Among other roles, she performed the role of Susanna in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro conducted by Robert Lehmeier and Musetta in Puccini's La bohème at the Nederlandse Reisopera. She has previously performed one of the six Mädchen in Ivo van Hove's staging of Aufstief und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny and made her debut at Dutch National Opera in Blue in season 2022/2023.
