Sílvia Sequeira

Portuguese soprano Sílvia Sequeira is known for an extensive repertoire from classicism to the Italian verismo of the 19th and 20th century. Last November, she won the MAX opera talent competition ARIA and thus a training at the Dutch National Opera Studio. She has also won several prizes, amongst others, the third prize in the Vinceró Competition, the audience prize in the Ciclo Lousada competition, and the Wagner and Audience Prize of the International Vocal Competition in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In summer 2021, Sequeira debuted as Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen in Germany, directed by Björn Reiken. She will make her debut at Dutch National Opera in the role of Anna Kennedy in Maria Stuarda (2023).
