Raoul Steffani

Baritone

Dutch baritone Raoul Steffani studied at the conservatories of Vienna and Amsterdam, and was a member of the studio of the Opéra National de Lyon, where he debuted the role of Ramiro in L’heure espagnole. He has already worked with renowned conductors Sir Mark Elder, Vladimir Jurowsky and David Zinman with the Dutch Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Camerata Salzburg, among others. Last season he sang Ned Keene in Peter Grimes at the Wadopera. Furthermore, he is a member of Equilibrium since 2021, Barbara Hannigan's Mentoring Program. Also in 2021, he recorded a duet album with Magdalena Kožená. Steffani received the prestigious Grachtenfestival Prize 2018 and the Dutch Classical Talent Audience Award 2018, and performed at the Prinsengrachtconcert in 2019.
