Rainelle Krause

Soprano

The American soprano Rainelle Krause studied at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and took lessons at Die Internationale Musikakademie Sankt Goar and the OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program in Los Angeles. She is one of the most in-demand interpreters of the Queen of the Night, having sung the role at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Oper Köln, Theater Basel, Opéra National de Montpellier, Bergen National Opera and Houston Grand Opera. She also sung the role of Pat Nixon in Nixon in China (Princeton Festival), Madame Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor (New Hampshire Music Festival), Blonde in Entführung aus dem Serail and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (Opera Piccola of San Antonio). In 2022 she sung the role of Princess in The Snow Queen with Kent Nagano at the NTR ZaterdagMatinee.
