Nienke Nasserian

Soprano and classical music theatre maker Nienke Nasserian graduated with honours in 2018 from the Master of Music in Classical Music Theatre at Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg, where she had earned her bachelor's degree two years earlier.

She has performed in productions by Silbersee, De Toneelmakerij, Opera Zuid, Wunderbaum, and Theater Rotterdam, among others. Most recently, she appeared in Het Zomeroffer (2024) by De Warme Winkel, Touki Delphine, and Asko|Schönberg.

As a creator, she has written and performed in four productions. RISE, a self-help opera, premiered at Wonderfeel Festival in 2023 after she won the Keep an Eye Production Award with her production MTOTO. The latter forms an autobiographical trilogy together with MASAI and MZUNGU. With MASAI, directed by Naomi van der Linden, she won the Entreeprijs at Theaterfestival Boulevard in August 2016.

Nienke previously appeared in Dutch National Opera productions Goud! and De theorie van alles.
