The Latvian soprano Marina Rebeka began her music studies in Latvia and continued them at the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome in 2007. Two years later she made her international breakthrough at the Salzburg Festival. Since then, she has been a regular guest at the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls. Rebeka shines in the baroque and bel canto repertoire. She recently sang the role of Violetta in La Traviata at Teatro alla Scala and made her role debut as Desdemona in Otello at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. At Dutch National Opera, she previously sang the role of Mathilde in Rossini's Guillaume Tell. In 2022 she sang in Donizetti's Queens in Concert and the title role of Anna Bolena.
