Malin Byström

Soprano

Swedish soprano Malin Byström is a regular guest performer at leading international opera venues such as Vienna State Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper and the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. She has built up a wide-ranging repertoire with roles including Tosca, Salome, Minnie (La fanciulla del West) and Elsa (Lohengrin) at the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro Real Madrid and San Francisco Opera, among other places. In recent seasons, she has made highly acclaimed role debuts as Danae (Die Liebe der Danae) and Elisabeth (Tannhäuser). Byström made her debut at Dutch National Opera in 2017 as Salome. She returned to sing Tosca in 2017 and Elsa in Lohengrin in 2023. She will be making her role debut as Isolde.

Malin Byström sings the role of Isolde in Tristan und Isolde, performed from 8 to 23 February 2026 at Dutch National Opera.
