Lucas van Lierop

Dutch-Canadian tenor Lucas van Lierop was a member of DNO Studio from 2018 to 2020. Since then, he has been a regular guest singer at Dutch National Opera, performing roles such as Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Spoletta (Tosca), Don Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro), Joe Cannon (Girls of the Golden West), an Innkeeper (Der Rosenkavalier), the Tailor (Köningskinder) and Man Ray in Retratto by Willem Jeths. He made his debut at the Salzburg Festival in the 2024–2025 season as the Servant in Capriccio, with Christian Thielemann as the conductor, and at Theater Basel as Pong in Turandot, directed by Christof Loy. He returned to Dutch National Opera as Bob Boles in Peter Grimes.
