Laetitia Gerards

Soprano

The Dutch soprano Laetitia Gerards studied at the Amsterdam Conservatoire. Her repertoire includes a wide range of roles, such as Servilia in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, Musetta in La bohème, Mařenka in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, Elle in Poulenc’s La voix humaine, Anne Egerman in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and Eileen in Bernstein’s Wonderful Town. Gerards is known for her affinity with the American repertoire. She recently performed Bernstein songs with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on a large open-air stage as part of the SAIL Amsterdam event. Later this season, she will be singing concerts with Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, she will be performing the soprano solo in Rued Langgaard’s Music of the Spheres (NTR Zaterdagmatinee) and she will be making her debut in the title role of The Cunning Little Vixen at Nederlandse Reisopera. She is also taking part in the Dutch television show Beste Zangers
