Joe Chalmers
Bass-baritone
The British bass-baritone Joe Chalmers studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2021, he made his debut at English National Opera singing the role of Captain Corcoran in HMS Pinafore. He has also performed at Garsington Opera and Longborough Festival Opera. He is a member of Dutch National Opera Studio as of the 2024/2025 season. He made his debut at Dutch National Opera earlier this season in the role of II Conte di Ceprano in Rigoletto.

Joe Chalmers appears as Der Einarmige in Die Frau ohne Schatten at Dutch National Opera & Ballet from 23 April to 10 May 2025.
Later that year, he performs the role of Un Carceriere in Tosca, from 3 to 25 September 2025.
