Joe Chalmers

The British bass-baritone Joe Chalmers studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He made his debut at English National Opera in 2021, singing the role of Captain Corcoran in HMS Pinafore. He has also performed with companies such as Garsington Opera and Longborough Festival Opera. He joined the Dutch National Opera Studio programme in the 2024–2025 season. He made his debut at Dutch National Opera as II Conte di Ceprano in Rigoletto and subsequently appeared as Der Einarmige in Die Frau ohne Schatten and as Un carceriere in Tosca.
