Joe Chalmers

The British bass-baritone Joe Chalmers studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2021, he made his debut at English National Opera singing the role of Captain Corcoran in HMS Pinafore. He has also performed at Garsington Opera and Longborough Festival Opera. 

Since the 2024–2025 season, Joe has been part of Dutch National Opera Studio. At the start of that season, he made his debut with Dutch National Opera as Il Conte di Ceprano in Rigoletto, and in spring 2025 he performed the role of Der Einarmige in Die Frau ohne Schatten. This autumn, Joe will appear as Un Carceriere in Tosca.
