
Ismael Jordi
The Spanish tenor Ismael Jordi studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Alfredo Kraus and made his debut in his hometown Jerez as Ernesto in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale. Since then, he appeared at various international opera houses, among which Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Dresden, Opéra Bastille and Opéra Comique in Paris, Marseille, Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia, Covent Garden London, Vienna, Zurich, Rome, Montréal and Metropolitan New York. His repertoire includes the roles of Gennaro in Lucrezia Borgia, Alfredo in La traviata, Il Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto, Des Grieux in Manon and the title roles in Roberto Devereux, Werther and Faust. At Dutch National Opera, Jordi has already performed the title role in Roméo et Juliette, and the roles of Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Lord Riccardo Percy in Anna Bolena (Tudor Trilogy) and last season we saw him in the role of Leicester in Maria Stuarda (Tudor trilogy).
- April-May 2024 Ismael Jordi will return for the title role of the third and final part of the Tudor trilogy, Roberto Devereux.
