Dutch Baritone Henk Poort is well known for his broad opera and musical repertoire. In his extensive career, he has sung roles such as Scarpia in Puccini’s Tosca, Germont in Verdi’s La Traviata, as well as the title roles in Verdi’s Macbeth and Rigoletto, Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, and Rossini’s Guillaume Tell. Throughout his international career he has worked with conductors such as Edo de Waart, Maurice Luttikhuis, Yakov Kreizberg, Gabriele Bellini, Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez and Alexander Rahbari. In 2022 he will sing the role of the Ratsälteste in Königskinder at Dutch National Opera.
