
Helena Rasker
Dutch alto Helena Rasker has enjoyed a prolific international career. Her recent engagements include George Benjamin’s Into the Little Hill with Ensemble Modern at the Wigmore Hall and at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Bach’s Matthäus-Passion, Mahler’s 8th Symphony and Stravinsky’s Requiem Canticles with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. She recently made her debut at the Royal Opera House and the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Erna in the world premiere of Morgen und Abend by Georg Friedrich Haas, and she returned to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in the world premiere of L’Apocalypse Arabe, directed by Pierre Audi. She has sung many roles at Dutch National Opera, including Hedwige in Guillaume Tell (2013), Bryna Pullman in After Life (2005 and 2009) and Grimgerde in Die Walküre (2012 and 2014).
