
Gevorg Hakobyan
The Armenian baritone Gevorg Hakobyan has enjoyed worldwide success with his interpretations of the Italian and Russian repertoire. He has sung roles including Tonio in Pagliacci, Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana, the title roles in Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra and Nabucco, Amonasro in Aida, Miller in Luisa Miller, Iago in Otello, the title role in Tchaikovsky’s Mazeppa, Tomsky in The Queen of Spades and Ibn-Hakia in Iolanta. He has been a guest performer at Oper Frankfurt, Teatro Real in Madrid, Vienna State Opera and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. At Dutch National Opera, he has previously sung Scarpia in Tosca, a role he will be taking on again in Amsterdam in September 2025.
