Bass-baritone

Geert van der Kaaij is a Dutch bass-baritone. He began singing as a child, influenced by his mother, who is a choir conductor. Van der Kaaij later sang as a boy soprano in the choir of Lincoln Cathedral in England. Back in the Netherlands, he completed his bachelor’s degree in classical music in The Hague under Frans Fiselier in 2021. He then took lessons with Catrin Wyn-Davies. Geert regularly sings with the Chorus of Dutch National Opera. He has also performed as a soloist with various ensembles.
