Ella Taylor

British soprano Ella Taylor studied at the Royal Academy of Music and was a member of London's National Opera Studio. They have sung principal roles for London's Royal Ballet and Opera and English National Opera, as well as appearing as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte for Opera North and The Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos for Staatsoper Hamburg. Later this year, they will create Blaze in Lucy Armstrong's and Olivia Bell's Spark for Glyndebourne. On the concert stage Taylor has collaborated with BBC Concert Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. They have also appeared in Avond van de Filmmuziek in Amsterdam and Antwerp and with Joe Hisaishi in Tokyo. Taylor is passionate about creating new work with and for the LGBTQ+ community and advocates for trans opera singers through talks and events. At Dutch National Opera, they previously performed in The Shell Trial.
