Countertenor Christophe Dumaux has conquered international opera stages with his exceptional vocal ability, intensity of singing and compelling theatrical presence. Specialized in the baroque repertoire, Dumaux has extensive experience in Händel operas, singing the roles of Ottone (Agrippina) at Hamburg Opera with Riccardo Minasi and Barrie Kosky, Tolomeo (Giulio Cesare) at Teatro alla Scala with Giovanni Antonini and Robert Carsen, the title role in Orlando at Theater an der Wien with Antonini and Claus Guth and Polinesso (Ariodante) at the Wiener Staatsoper, Salzburger Festspiele and Bolshoi Theatre. Generally, Dumaux has worked with several other important conductors and directors such as René Jacobs, Emmanuelle Haïm, Ivor Bolton and Calixto Bieito, David McVivar and Richard Jones. At Dutch National Opera, he previously performed the role of Fernando in Don Chisciotte In Sierra Morena.
