Anthony Robin Schneider

Austrian-New Zealand bass Anthony Robin Schneider is a versatile performer of both opera and concert repertoire, with a particular affinity for the works of Mozart, Wagner and Verdi. Since 2019, he has been a member of the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt, where he recently sang the title role in Barrie Kosky’s production of Hercules. He has also appeared there to great acclaim as Heinrich der Vogler in Lohengrin, Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro, the Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlo and Sparafucile in Rigoletto. Other recent roles include Hector’s Ghost in Les Troyens (Wiener Staatsoper) and Truffaldino in Ariadne auf Naxos (Santa Fe Opera). In 2023, he made his debut at Dutch National Opera as Heinrich der Vogler in Wagner’s Lohengrin.
