Anthony Robin Schneider

The Austrian-New Zealand bass Anthony Robin Schneider is a multifaceted artist in opera and concert repertoire from all eras, with a particular affinity for Mozart, Wagner, and Verdi. Since 2019, Schneider is an ensemble member of Oper Frankfurt, where he recently sang the title role in Barrie Kosky’s production of Hercules. There, he has had great success in the roles of Heinrich der Vogler in Lohengrin, Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro, Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlo, and Sparafucile in Rigoletto. Other recent appearances include the Ghost of Hector in Les Troyens (Wiener Staatsoper) and Truffaldino in Ariadne auf Naxos (Santa Fe Opera).
