Anna El-Khashem

Soprano

The St Petersburg-born soprano Anna El-Khashem studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in her native city. She was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and became a member of the ensemble there in 2017, where she sang roles such as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Esmeralda in Die Verkaufte Braut, Inès in La Favorite and Ksenia in Boris Godunov. Since then, she has sung in opera houses throughout Europe, including recently at Opéra national de Paris, the Wiener Staatsoper, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Staatsoper Stuttgart and Opernhaus Zürich. She also worked with conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Gustavo Dudamel, Ivor Bolton and Philippe Jordan. Next summer she will make her debut at the Salzburg Festival as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, conducted by Teodor Currentzis.
