Angel Romero

American tenor Angel Romero won second prize and the Zarzuela prize at the 2024 Operalia Competition. As Resident Artist at Pittsburgh Opera, he impressed in roles such as Ferrando in Così fan tutte and Oronte in Alcina. At Austin Opera, he sang the role of Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd. He made his international debut at the Wiener Staatsoper singing the role of Ein Sänger in Der Rosenkavalier, a role he also sang at Dutch National Opera in 2023.
