Sergio Morabito

During his study he worked as assistant director and dramaturg at Oper Frankfurt. He worked with Jossi Wieler at Oper Stuttgart, where he is a dramaturg since 2011, among others on L’italiana in Algeri, Alcina, L’incoronazione di Poppea, Siegfried, Norma, Moses und Aron, La Juive iKát’a Kabanová. Their production Ariadne auf Naxos (Salzburger Festspiele) was appointed as ‘Production of the Year’ by the prestigious magazine Opernwelt. In the following years they won the same price for three other productions (Dokter Faust 2005, Alceste 2006, Sonnambula 2012). For Dokter Faust and Die glückliche Hand/Osud they also won the German theater price ‘Der Faust’. Future: Les Huguenots (Grand Théâtre de Genève). The Dutch Opera productions: Lucio Silla, Così fan tutte, Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro.
