Sergey Kucher

Lighting designer

Sergey Kucher studied lighting at the Polytechnic Institute in Minsk (Belarus). This was followed by fifteen years as a lighting designer at the Palace of the Republic, the city’s leading concert venue at that time. In 2016, he moved to Moscow, where he worked as a lighting designer at the Gogol Center. He collaborated with various directors there, including Kirill Serebrennikov, Vladislav Nastavshev and Evgeny Kulagin. Kucher has also worked with Kirill Serebrennikov more recently, including on Der schwarze Mönch, Barocco, Legende and The Wij (Thalia Theater Hamburg) and Decamerone (Deutsches Theater Berlin).
