Roziena Salihu
Spoken word artist
Roziena Salihu calls herself a multidisciplinary maker, for whom the word remains the basis in everything she does. She started at the Poetry Circle Nowhere in 2014 as a performing writer. Since then, she entered all kinds of stages to perform her words. Now, several years later, she feels she is primarily a maker who makes excursions into various art disciplines. However, she always takes the word as her starting point. For example, she wrote short fiction stories for, among others, Revisor, the Sampler of Das Mag (2020) and made her debut in 2019 with her first short documentary Fufu met appelmoes
- During season 2023-2024, Roziena Salihu is collaborating as librettist on the spoken-word opera The Theory of Everything at Dutch National Opera
