ROMAIN BISCHOFF

Originally, he was a conductor and opera singer, specialising in contemporary repertoire. As a soloist or conductor, he has taken part in more than a hundred creations, with DNO and the opera houses of Paris, Venice and Brussels, at the festivals Oerol, Holland Festival and Festival Agora, and with BAM New York. With Silbersee, Bischof initiates and encourages opera creations that focus on innovation, exploration and risk. Along with his performers, he believes in productions that are meant for a wide public and not just insiders.
