Choreography

Austrian choreographer Otto Pichler studied at the Ballet School of the Landestheater Salzburg and the Performing Arts School of the Theater an der Wien. After his stage career, he started working as a choreographer and director for opera, operetta, musical and theatre. His choreographies for opera productions include Der Ring des Nibelungen (Opéra national de Paris), Penthesilea and Die Fledermaus (Semperoper Dresden), War and Peace, L'elisir d'amore and Turandot (Oper Köln), Orfeo ed Euridice (Staatstheater Wiesbaden), Ezio (Schwetzingen Festival) and Mitridate, re di Ponto (Salzburger Festspiele). At Dutch National Opera, he previously choreographed for La forza del destino (2017).
