Niels Nuijten

Niels Nuijten studied Dramaturgy at the University of Amsterdam. With composer Michel van der Aa, he created Eight and Upload. In the summer of 2020, he collaborated with Christof Loy for a new production of Così fan tutte at the Salzburger Festspiele. He maintains a tight collaboration with Dutch director Lisenka Heijboer Castañón, for whom he contributed to her productions Orpheus (NJO muziekzomer and Grachtenfestival), Parsifal (Bochumer Symphoniker), VROUWENSTEMMEN (Grachtenfestival) and FAUST [working title] at the Dutch National Opera. Today, he is connected with the Theater Basel as dramaturg.
