The British costume designer Nicky Gillibrand designed costumes for multiple opera houses like English National Opera, The Royal Opera House, Opera North, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper München, and Opéra national de Paris. She also worked for theatre companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre and designed costumes for the West-End and Broadway productions of Billy Elliot: The Musical. For Dutch National Opera she designed the costumes for Die Zauberflöte.
